* We understand the goals of relational psychotherapy are to foster a intersubjective space in which the client feels supported to share difficult emotional challenges, allowing them to gain insight and self-awareness within the context of a therapeutic relationship. Relational psychotherapy emphasizes the therapeutic process between the therapist and client as a facilitator of repair and growth. We draw from the following areas of theory: psychoanalytic, psychodynamic, relational cultural theory, critical feminist theory, attachment theory and neuroscience.
