Shannon Deacon, MSW, RSW
I am a registered Social Worker practicing with families and individuals in East Toronto. I have worked for over two decades supporting parents and families, particularly those at risk, providing teaching and counselling to many new moms. My lens is based in attachment work, anti-oppressive practice and Emotion-Focused therapy, amongst other tools. But really, my most valuable experience comes from being a mother myself. When I became a mom, I realized that, while I knew parenting was going to be hard, no one can really prepare you for the intense, emotional, joyous, joyless, overwhelming, exhilarating, exhausting, exciting, frustrating and love-filled experience that is new parenting. I believe that it's important to provide women and families the space to talk about their experiences and challenges in a non-judgemental, solution-focused way.

Erin Kuri, PhD, RP, CCC-S, OATR (She/Her)
is a Registered Psychotherapist (RP), Registered Art Therapist (OATR), and Certified Canadian Counsellor-Supervisor, practicing in Ontario, Canada.
Through the creative process of art-making and talk therapy, I offer emotional support to people engaged with reproductive healthcare during the perinatal and post-partum years. Through a therapeutic relationship, I aim to cultivate a safe space for people to explore life’s challenges, in the context of complex social systems and structures that surround us, creating space for self-compassion and insight, where one can grow into their potential.
No artistic skill or experience with visual art-making is necessary and all materials are provided.
I have over 15 years of practice experience across community agency and private practice settings. My areas of specialization include attachment, trauma and loss, gender-based sexual violence, emotional support in connection with reproductive planning/ infertility/ reproductive loss/ reproductive healthcare, perinatal/maternal mental health, infant and early childhood (0-6) mental health, and adolescent mental health/life transitions. I also specialize in providing clinical supervision and consultation.
I provide in-person and virtual services.

Sara Wilken MSW RSW PhD
Everyone has a different experience with entering into motherhood or becoming a parent, but I believe it is inevitably life-changing. For many people it feels like entering a new planet, with new feelings, new (sometimes ruminating) thoughts, new ways of navigating relationships, and this identity as mother or parent that needs to somehow become part of who you are. At first, it can feel like the old “you” was lost in the process. The adjustment to becoming a mother or a parent can take time and it can also bring up feelings that can be hard to make sense of. We can work together so that you can feel less alone and find a way to feel like yourself again. I have specialized training in perinatal mental health and the therapy I provide is based on talk, understanding, and feeling connected.
Fee: $150/50 minute session
